MODERN & MINIMALIST
MODERN & MINIMALIST
“When modern meets minimalism, living spaces become more refined than ever.”

If a villa feels out of reach, why not start with something within your means?
A single-story home can be the perfect choice for young newlyweds—when he earns 8 million VND, she earns 5 million VND, and parents contribute 1 billion VND—it’s absolutely doable.

🍀 As we grow up, each of us carries our own thoughts and plans for the future.
🍀 We all have our own stories, and today I want to share with you the story of the homeowners of a corner house in Bien Hoa, designed by our team.
🍀 This home was a long-held dream for them, and now they’ve made it happen while still young. ❤
🍀 I hope you, too, will be able to fulfill your own plans in the future—and maybe even create them together with us in your next home story. 🫶🏻

This time, our clients—a young couple—asked us to renovate their modestly sized townhouse to make it feel open and airy, avoiding any sense of being cramped, while also maximizing its usability. The downstairs is for rental, and their parents’ house is right next door. So, we decided to renovate in two parts—keeping one section intact as per their wishes.

The first thing you’ll notice is a consistent dark gray tone throughout the space, used across most of the interior elements. Various materials were combined with abundant natural light and sleek linear lighting strips running through the rooms—creating a sense of mystery, with rare “bright spots” that stand out as highlights.

And here’s a little secret: with these warm, darker tones compared to light colors, cleaning feels less of a chore for the husband—which means one happy person, two happy hearts. Hehe.

🏡 CISẺ ARCHITECTS optimized the home’s functionality according to the client’s wishes, creating an ideal space for family members to enjoy, capture, and treasure warm and happy moments together.

Countryside Retreat Villa – Second Home
For New Year’s 🥳💜
Countryside Retreat Villa – Second Home
Simplicity and rustic charm celebrate the beauty of light in this home, revealing countless shades and emotions. Every shifting moment in nature tells a new story—of sunbeams and drifting clouds.

“My home is in the suburbs (Da Lat)
Where forest birds sing,
Amid the great mountains and forests,
Under a sky of gentle blue,
The wind sweeps in endlessly,
My home under the golden sun,
Appearing in a veil of mist…”
Contemporary Japanese architectural style

This home is filled with tranquility, set in relaxing natural surroundings with breathtaking views. A life, as poet Nguyễn Bỉnh Khiêm once wrote:
“The foolish seek quiet solitude,
The wise go where the crowd gathers.”

Escaping the bustling city, this is a new living space where, during trips to the Da Lat countryside, our client’s family can enjoy a comfortable, simple yet fully equipped and luxurious retreat.

A Place to Come Home To
PEACE IS THERE
Stepping onto the porch, I gently pushed open the small, charming wooden door. It let out a faint creak, as if already accustomed to being opened with such tenderness. The scent of aged wood, mingled with a hint of leaves from the garden, slipped through the crack in the door, carrying with it a strangely familiar feeling.
Inside, the gentle morning light filtered through a sheer curtain, scattering shimmering streaks across the wooden floor. The living room and kitchen flowed into each other, forming a space that felt open yet not cold, quiet yet not lonely. The curved sofa rested like a soft embrace, facing a coffee table—a block of raw stone that breathed of distant mountains and forests. I brushed my fingers lightly over its cool surface, sensing something primal, something sincere. Beside it, a rough plaster wall stood silently, like an old friend who needs no words yet understands completely.

The kitchen, just beyond, was as warm as a winter morning steeped in the lingering scent of tea. Oakwood’s aroma intertwined with the faint fragrance of lotus tea, painting a picture that made you want to slow your breathing the moment you stepped in. The cupboards were neat, the open shelves revealing rustic pottery bowls and plates—rough, yet endearingly so. In the center of the kitchen, a long dining table stood beneath a terracotta pendant light. I could already imagine the evenings here, golden light spilling over the faces of loved ones, accompanied by endless murmurs of conversation.

From the living room, a glass door opened to a small garden. An old star apple tree stood quietly, like a guardian of the home’s peaceful years. Beside it, the swimming pool lay still, its water clear to the bottom where white pebbles sparkled like fragments of sunlight fallen from above. A few large stones dotted the gravel path, as if they had been placed there long ago, waiting patiently for unhurried footsteps to arrive. In one corner of the garden, a low wooden chair nestled beside a small tea table. I touched its surface lightly, imagining a hot cup of tea already waiting—just a sip away from letting every worry drift away.

I stood still for a while, letting myself dissolve into this space. Here, nothing needs to be perfect—it only needs to be itself. Just as people sometimes don’t need to strive to become someone else, but only need a place to return to, a reminder that peace has always been there, right within our own hearts.

Country Side Residence

The small house rests beside a gentle stream flowing down from the hilltop, like a lullaby sung by the earth and sky. Modest in form yet utterly captivating, it is built with glossy charred timber and rugged stone—authentic, and charming in its own quiet way. Wide glass windows open to the lush green valley, where sunlight dances on the crystal-clear water, and breezes slip through the leaves as if whispering a greeting. The house leans into nature, nestled in tranquility, with an aged stone-tile roof and dark timber frames—solid yet warmly familiar.

Stepping inside, your feet are welcomed by the warmth of the wooden floor—gentle, inviting, and intimate. The interior carries a nostalgic touch, from the cast-iron stove with its slow, glowing embers to the stone fireplace at the heart of the living room. The colors are as soft as nature’s own breath—moss green, earthy brown, and creamy beige—all blending harmoniously to create a space both cozy and full of tenderness. Light filters through the large glass windows, scattering soft beams over the rustic wooden table, the coarse fabric sofa, and the thick woolen rug.

Behind the house, a small, clear pond shimmers under the sun, surrounded by natural stone and wildflowers blooming freely. Here, one could sink into the cool, refreshing water, embraced by the serene and romantic garden scenery. As sunset descends, the sky slowly turns to hues of pink and purple, gently mirrored on the pond’s surface—like a peaceful painting that stirs an indescribable sense of calm.

This house, with all its stillness and affection, is the perfect retreat to escape life’s noise. Here, every weekend or holiday feels like a moment to slow down—to let the soul merge with nature and rediscover love in the simplest of things.

“Simple yet undeniably modern” – that’s how CISẺ Architects would like to introduce this newly completed villa, proudly designed by our architectural team.

This is a modern villa, with the homeowner’s request for a minimalist exterior and a maximized interior. Our task for this project was to create the architectural design.
Since the villa faces directly west, where the sunlight is intense, our architects implemented a multi-layer sun-shading solution, combining handcrafted concrete bricks with a green buffer of plants.
For the landscape, we designed a long, linear swimming pool running alongside the building, interwoven with tropical shrubs and tall shade trees.
Someone once asked CISẺ Architects: “My life feels like a mess, how can I change it?”
Our advice was simple: “Clean your room—right now!”
Starting from the smallest things, when you feel stuck, an organized living space will gradually help heal the worries inside.
